Case study: traditional housing types

Before the Industrialization in Taiwan, courtyard house and street house served as most common housing types to meet living requirements of the time. Extensions and modifications of each house implied structure changes of the family. Further adaptations from courtyard house type to street house type indicated the social transition from agricultural society to early commercial society.
